General Safety
ECO2 is based in Tanzania, a tropical developing country where high standards of health are not as they are in the west and where exposure to new diseases and ailments may occur if precautions are not taken.
Prior to your visit to Tanzania it will be necessary to visit your local GP or health clinic to arrange for the appropriate jabs for the region so as to increase protection against diseases such as hepatitis A and B and typhoid. |
Malaria and Insurance
Tanzania is in a malarial zone and therefore we advise visitors to use prophylaxis (anti-malarial tablets) and mosquito repellent and sleep under mosquito nets. Remember the best prevention is not to be bitten so cover up or use repellent on exposed skin.
All visitors are responsible for arranging there own insurance for medical emergencies |
Dive Safety
The dive centre follows the highest standard of safety procedures. A full medical kit, oxygen unit and life jackets are kept onboard each boat. We are a member of the Diver Alert Network (DAN).
We do expect all guests to exercise the highest standards of personal safety by following SAFE dive practises at all times. |
